Saint Rose of Lima is my favorite saint because she took care of orphan children. She also stood up to her parents when they wanted her to marry. Saint Rose also took care of the elderly people and the sick. She started a social services program. She did all this work through the grace of God. She also experienced some transfiguration from the inside. She died a peaceful death. She is the patroness of the Philippians ,America, and florists. She died on August 24,1617, a day after her birthday. Her symbol is a bunch of roses. Saint Rose is special to me because she helped all the orphan children. I too want to help the children who are less fortunate than me.
